Born in Kentwood, Louisiana, pop singer Britney Spears began with the Mickey Mouse Club at age 11. In 1999, she released 'Baby One More Time', which debuted at No. 1, provoking controversy for her seductive style. Her second album (2000) was the top-selling debut by a solo female artist ever. She remains a top-selling artist worldwide.
